New Forest Shakedown Tour 2021

Rhinefield House Hotel – register interest without any obligation or deposit

25th - 28th April 2021

five days/four nights - Car Friendly, Driver Friendly and Navigator Friendly.

five day, four nights at the Rhinefield House Hotel - three places left

Car Friendly, Driver Friendly and Navigator Friendly.

A place of outstanding natural beauty and unique landscapes, The New Forest has a huge diversity of wild animals with over 5000 ponies, cattle and pigs roam free throughout the area and even in the main streets of some villages such as Brockenhurst and Burley.

On this Backwater New Forest Tour we will be based at the 4-star Rhinefield House Hotel for the duration – it’s a jewel in the crown of New Forest hotels. The hotel is set in the heart of the forest and features a 1.5 mile Ornamental Drive before you even get to a road. We will be driving on beautiful side roads in and around the New Forest and out to Stockbridge and Wiltshire villages – all areas and locations of interest.

There will be tulip runs on two days, interspersed with an unstructured day for you to explore Beaulieu National Motor Museum (entry included, as well as arena parking for you to showcase your car). As you are free on this day you will have ample time to explore the area surrounding Beaulieu as well as nearby Bucklers Hard and Lymington at your leisure.
Car, driver, and navigator-friendly Neither of the runs are excessively long which will give you time to explore the forest on foot as well as by car. Our drives also pass through some lovely walking areas so feel free to jump off route anytime and walk instead. As our regular clients are well aware, we have no problem if you’d rather jump ship for the day to visit Great Aunt Gladys! We do, however, expect you to be back at the hotel for dinner in the evening to get to know your fellow participants.

There are no extreme roads or hills, and there are long distances between tulips so the navigator can enjoy the scenery as well as the driver. If you’ve not been on a Backwater Tour before, or your car needs a gentle run, then this tour is ideal for you.

Tulip runs and attractions
We have planned tulip runs in the New Forest visiting Lymington, Stockbridge and Calshot, as well visit to Beaulieu Motor Museum.
We will be making coffee stops at the Rushmore Golf Club, part of the Tollard Royal Estate, and the Leckford Estate, owned by John Lewis.
