five days/four nights - register interest without any obligation or deposit
five day, four nights at the Rhinefield House Hotel - defeating virus blues tour
A tour to look forward to when we can start to resume a normal life?
Well we have an idea – assuming that we can tour this autumn.
We are floating out the idea of re-running our successful New Forest tour this October at the stunning Rhinefield House Hotel which is literally in the middle of the forest.
In terms of spectacular scenery and amazing colours, it’s hard to beat autumn in the New Forest. The countryside transforms over autumn, with great swathes of rich colours and crisp atmospheric mornings.
The rooms are booked at the hotel and the tour will follow the normal Backwater format with tulip runs, coffee stops etc. To make this as much of a celebration of all getting together again as well as a car tour we have full fun local choir to entertain us, and anything else that we can think of to dispel the blues that will lighten this dismal time we are having to endure at the moment.
We want to make this fun so we are thinking that for our final evening we shall have a gala dinner with a difference. You’ll need to dress up – black tie or fancy dress (any theme at all), anything that makes your evening fun.We are not asking for any deposit now, we just wanted to gauge what interest we have for this tour. Five days, four nights dinners and breakfast all days.
Also for those that live near we have a few places that just have the Gala Dinner option only.
We will relax the normal requirement of a classic car, you have the option to use your modern car if the classic has been tucked away for the season.
On this Backwater New Forest Tour we will be based at the 4-star Rhinefield House Hotel for the duration – it’s a jewel in the crown of New Forest hotels. The hotel is set in the heart of the forest and features a 1.5 mile Ornamental Drive before you even get to a road. We will be driving on beautiful side roads in and around the New Forest and out to Stockbridge and Wiltshire villages – all areas and locations of interest.
There will be tulip runs on two days, interspersed with an unstructured day for you to explore Beaulieu National Motor Museum. As you are free on this day you will have ample time to explore the area surrounding Beaulieu as well as nearby Bucklers Hard and Lymington at your leisure.
Car, driver, and navigator-friendly Neither of the runs are excessively long which will give you time to explore the forest on foot as well as by car. Our drives also pass through some lovely walking areas so feel free to jump off route anytime and walk instead. As our regular clients are well aware, we have no problem if you’d rather jump ship for the day to visit Great Aunt Gladys! We do, however, expect you to be back at the hotel for dinner in the evening to get to know your fellow participants.
There are no extreme roads or hills, and there are long distances between tulips so the navigator can enjoy the scenery as well as the driver. If you’ve not been on a Backwater Tour before, or your car needs a gentle run, then this tour is ideal for you.
