SOLD OUT
Join us for an unforgettable four-night tour that unveils the hidden gems of Teesdale and the Pennines. Known as the "Backbone of England," this stunning mountain range offers a perfect blend of exhilarating driving routes, breathtaking landscapes, and charming villages and market towns that seem frozen in time.Â
Â
The Pennines are renowned for their natural beauty. Drive through the Yorkshire Dales where you'll encounter stunning vistas, limestone cliffs, and serene reservoirs. The contrasting landscapes provide an ever-changing and captivating view from behind the wheel.Â
Â
Teesdale, historically marking the boundary of the North Riding before the 1974 local government reorganisation, remains the northernmost area of the "Yorkshire" Dales region. Its unique position offers a blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty that is waiting to be explored.Â
Â
Our tour includes a visit to The Bowes Museum, a magnificent building in the historic market town of Barnard Castle. This grand museum houses significant collections of fine and decorative arts, offering a cultural feast for art lovers.Â
Â
We also explore Beamish, a living, working museum set in 300 acres of Durham countryside. Costumed folk bring to life the Town, Pit Village, Home Farm, and Pockerley Old Hall, providing an immersive experience of how the Industrial Revolution transformed agricultural life in the region. The buildings at Beamish are authentic structures, meticulously relocated and rebuilt to give visitors a true sense of history.Â
Â
Embark on this thrilling adventure through the Pennines and Teesdale, where every moment is filled with discovery, beauty, and the timeless charm of England's scenic heartland.Â
