We will be staying in a stylish Country Estate located in the Zuid-Kennemer National Park.
Duin & Kruidberg Country Estate
Grandeur is undoubtedly in the detail at the Duin & Kruidberg Country Estate which is in a fairy-tale setting with a magnificent garden and large lake. This country house hotel is imposingly elegant and is renowned for its gourmet dining experience (the restaurant has a Michelin star). We will be having a private ‘welcome’ dinner in the hotel’s magnificent Lodewijk Room – the former dining room of the Cremer family.
Windmills and waterways tulip navigation runs
We have planned two tulip runs to historic and scenic locations which include Hoorn, De Rijp, Edam, Zaanse Schans, and there will be a fun Backwater Observation Trophy competition.
We’ll be visiting the Keukenhof Gardens – one of the most beautiful spring gardens in the world. More than seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths spread their colours and fragrance over more than 32 hectares. There are seven inspirational gardens where you can get ideas and discover the latest gardening trends, and pavilions that feature 30 alternating flower and plant shows.
You will also have the option to go on to The Hague where you can visit the Louwman Museum – home to 230 cars, and the famous Delft Pottery.
