Venetian Villas and Italian Castles

Our annual visit to Italy returns to the North East of Italy starting in Vicenza. From here, we explore the Veneto region, giving you access to the Dolomites, Garda and more. We stay at Villa Michelangelo, a Palladian-style country house, popular with aristocrats and creatives over the years. We explore historic towns and sample local delicacies. We then move north into the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO world heritage site. Our three-night stay is at Castelbrando, a national historic monument with over 2000 years of history.

Itinerary
Sunday 19th September
Arrive at the four-star Villa Michelangelo. This evening, we have arranged welcome drinks, whilst your tour manager carries out the briefing. Dinner is taken together in the hotel's restaurant.
Monday 20th September
Today, we drive out to Asiago, a beautiful town with a visit and tasting of the famous Asiago cheese at Caseifico Pennar. Dinner is taken in the hotel’s La Loggia restaurant this evening.
Tuesday 21st September
After breakfast, we drive out to Lake Garda with a speciality lunch, returning via Folgaria in the Dolomites. A finale dinner is taken together at the Villa Michelangelo this evening.
Wednesday 22nd September
We have a lovely drive from Vicenza to Castelbrando via the San Boldo Pass with a visit en route to the stunning Palladium Venetian Villa of Villa Maser. This evening, you will have a welcome drink, as your tour manager gives you the history on the amazing property you’re staying in, followed by dinner.
Thursday 23rd September
Today, we have a full day out into the neighbouring region of Friuli with a visit and tasting of Prosciutto – located in the prestigious San Daniele area. Return via the scenic route of Cansiglio and Farra Alpago, with the Dolomites as a backdrop. Dinner is taken together at the hotel this evening.
Friday 24th September
The last of the tour takes you along the scenic Prosecco Route with a visit and light lunch at a traditional Cantina. This evening, we gather for a farewell drinks' reception and Gala dinner.
Saturday 25th September
Check out after breakfast and continue your onward journey.
