Step into a world of timeless elegance and untamed beauty on Castles & Coastlines — a classic car driving tour based at the enchanting Pentillie Castle, a privately owned country estate nestled on the banks of the River Tamar, right on the Cornwall and Devon border.
This tour blends the romance of historic accommodation with the thrill of driving some of the South West’s most captivating routes. Each day invites you to explore dramatic moorland, rugged coastlines, and hidden villages, all from the comfort of your cherished classic car.
Explore the rugged Cornish Riviera with its picturesque harbour villages and sandy beaches. Pentillie is exclusively ours for the duration of the stay, to give us a real house party feel. The property is beautifully appointed and you have 55 acres of woodland and gardens that lead down to the River Tamar.

Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival day at Pentillie and time to check in and relax in the beautiful surroundings, the cars will be parked together in the courtyard. This evening we have a briefing and introduction to the special surroundings in which you’ll be staying. To follow there will be a welcome drink and dinner in the dining room.

DAY 2 - Dartmoor Run
Embark on a captivating driving tour across the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park. First stop of the day is the magnificent Bovey Castle for a mid-morning coffee stop.
Visits of Dartmoor Prison Museum and Buckfast Abbey feature in the roadbook today as optional stops.

DAY 3 - Free Day
Today you have some appealing options available to you. Firstly the Eden Project, a global garden housed in futuristic biomes built inside a reclaimed clay pit. Explore rainforest canopies, Mediterranean terraces, and outdoor exhibits that blend botany, science, and sustainability. From here drive southwest to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of the most mysterious and romantic estates in England. Wander through Victorian pleasure grounds, a jungle with tree ferns and rope bridges, and lush, hidden pathways that feel like stepping back in time. A café on site provides a great spot for a light lunch or cream tea.

DAY 4 - Bucket & Spade Run
Begin your day with a drive across the windswept beauty of Bodmin Moor. Our mid-morning break at The Borough Arms is the perfect coffee stop location. Continue your journey north to the dramatic north Cornish coast and the clifftop village of Tintagel. From Tintagel, enjoy a coastal drive northward to Bude, passing wild headlands, deep valleys, and hidden coves.

DAY 5
Check out of Pentillie after breakfast.
