Exploring South West Ireland from Killarney
Dreamlike landscapes and dramatic coastlines, this is Ireland at its picturesque best. The coastline of the South West is a meandering mix of inlets, coves and peninsulas. Inland, the landscape is scarcely less rugged: throughout the region, farmland is interspersed with rocky outcrops and bogs which break up the luscious green vistas.
The region has been made famous by the epic rallying that has taken place, stages such as Molls Gap, the Healey and Connor passes. To build the anticipation before we drive these hallowed roads, we will be briefed by the ‘voice of Irish rallying’ Plum Tyndall, who has spent his life following the sport and documenting it via his production company.
This tour will be enjoyed from a fabulous four star townhouse situated within walking distance from the centre of Killarney. Nestled in County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland, this vibrant town offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, Irish heritage, and warm hospitality.

Itinerary
DAY 1
The tour departs from Holyhead for the morning 09:00 hrs sailing to Dublin. We follow the main roads via Limerick to Killarney ready for check in. This evening we have arranged a welcome drink, dinner and briefing on the fun to be had in the coming days.
DAY 2 - Jaunting Cars
Today we give the cars a rest as we take a more traditional method of transport, Jaunting Cars, famous around Ireland. Our Jaunt will take us to Muckross House & Gardens. From there we take to the Lough by boat to enjoy the scenery from the water. This evening we have our rally expert with us for an after dinner talk.
DAY 3 - Killarney Rally Run
Today’s route is an epic one as we drive south west out of Killarney to drive the legendary Molls Gap via the Ladies View. We have a very fine spot for coffee in Kenmare before heading into the southern Peninsula from Killarney to take in the Healey Pass and loop back up to the hotel.
DAY 4 - Dingle peninsula run
Another superb run is planned today into the Dingle Peninsula, with a scenic coffee stop, quirky lunch suggestion, coastal route run and Conor Pass it promises to be memorable. To round off proceedings we have some lively entertainment with dinner.
DAY 5
At leisure for breakfast and check out. You have the option to return from Dublin to Holyhead 14.15 – 18.20 OR Rosslare – Fishguard 19.30 – 23.00. If via the latter, you’ll pass the Blarney Castle & Stone.
